Abigail Bloom and Laura Huie are a Los Angeles-based writer/director duo who’ve been inseparable since they were cast as conjoined twins in a hilariously awful high school play.

Over a decade later, their bond as best friends fuels their high-concept, female-led projects brimming with irreverent humor and rooted in female friendship—the kind of stories teenaged Abigail and Laura would’ve been obsessed with.

SOMETHING WICKED, their three-part comedy web series, is an Official Selection of the 2026 LA Shorts International Film Festival and has gained over 350K YouTube views across short-form clips. They’re currently developing their action-comedy feature YOU WORRY ME with the VP of Development at Anonymous Content.

Their dark fantasy/drama AUNTIE TIGRESS won the 2024 WeScreenplay Short Script Lab and went on to place as finalists at HollyShorts, Screencraft, and Outstanding Screenplays.

They are currently in pre-production for their dark comedy proof-of-concept short POOR CLAIRE, which was a Semi-Finalist in the 2026 Shore Scripts Film Fund.

Beyond their own projects, Abigail and Laura are the VPs of Community & Marketing for Off The Page, an inclusive and encouraging community for female-identifying and non-binary screenwriters.
