Abigail Bloom and Laura Huie are a Los Angeles-based writer/director duo who’ve been inseparable since they were cast as conjoined twins in a hilariously awful high school play.

Over a decade later, their bond as best friends fuels their high-concept, female-led projects brimming with irreverent humor and rooted in female friendship—the kind of stories teenaged Abigail and Laura would’ve been obsessed with.

Their three-part comedy web series, SOMETHING WICKED, premiered at the 2026 LA Shorts International Film Festival and has gained over 350K YouTube views across short-form clips. The duo’s YouTube channel @BloomandHuie has surpassed 1.3 million total views.

Abigail and Laura are currently in pre-production for their dark comedy proof-of-concept short, POOR CLAIRE, which was a semi-finalist in the 2026 Shore Scripts Film Fund.

Their dark fantasy/drama AUNTIE TIGRESS won the 2024 WeScreenplay Short Script Lab and went on to become finalists at HollyShorts, Screencraft, and Outstanding Screenplays. The duo’s action-comedy feature, YOU WORRY ME, was a quarter-finalist for the 2023 Screencraft Fellowship and the 2022 Screencraft Action & Adventure competition.

Beyond their own projects, Abigail and Laura serve as VPs of Community & Marketing for Off the Page, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting female-identifying and non-binary screenwriters.
